For this this renovation of a cozy 1950s bungalow, we increased spatial continuity by demolishing several partitions and adding a clad structural beam, fully renovated the kitchen, opened and re-finished a narrow existing staircase, and added an enlosed porch. The result is a clean, cohesive space, open yet intimate, that adapts with Seattle’s shifting seasons to stay inviting and optimistic throughout the year.
